The most expensive gel of 2017 is a gel called Glamlite that has a white finish, according to the manufacturer.
Glamlight, a subsidiary of the US cosmetics company L’Oréal, said the product was launched in the UK in April, but the UK’s National Health Service says it is no longer approved to be sold in the country.
It is not yet known how many people have purchased it in the EU.
“The gel is made with the most advanced ingredients available in the market today,” the company said in a statement.
“It is safe and well tolerated in the body.”
It is available in three sizes, and can be mixed and matched with any other gel in a range of skin care products, including face wash, body wash and eye drops.
The gel can be bought online for around £25 ($42), but the cheapest option is £20 ($27).
In a statement, GlamLight said it was “currently working with the NHS to understand what is the best way to deliver the product in the future”.
“We’re committed to providing our customers with a reliable, effective, and convenient product,” the statement added.

The company said it had received no complaints about Glam Lite.
It did not specify what kind of products were affected.
The National Health Authority in England said it would not be approving the product because it was not a therapeutic product.
The product is not currently available in Australia, New Zealand or Canada.
Gels sold in UK, US, and EU Source: Next BigFuture/Facebook In March, the National Health Board in the US said it did not approve the use of Glam Light gel in children under 14, but it said it could not comment further.
It said the gel is not a suitable alternative for children younger than 13.
“Our policy regarding products for use by children is that they should not be used in adults,” the board said.
“However, Glimlite is not suitable for use in adults.
The products are also not suitable to use with oral contraceptives, diabetics or pregnant women.”
In a press release, GluLite said it “has a strong track record in the development and delivery of therapeutic and non-therapeutic products for the management of conditions and injuries.”
It said it is “a leading provider of innovative products for healthcare professionals, including in the field of cosmetic products”.
“Glam Light has received approval in the United States and Europe for the use in children, which allows us to continue to offer this product to our patients.”
The company did not respond to a request for comment from The Straits Times.
