When Apple launched its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, they didn’t seem to offer much in the way of high-end lipstick.
This was partly because Apple didn’t want to invest in expensive formulas like MAC or Clinique and partly because its biggest priority for the next generation of smartphones was to provide a premium experience for customers.
However, the company is now hoping to get a little bit of what it wants with its next smartphone.
In a recent interview with the New York Times, Apple’s vice president of design and engineering, Alex Chapple, said that the company’s next flagship phone would be a premium high-performance phone that would offer users “a new level of sophistication” to their beauty routine.
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6+ will feature a special high-gloss formula, which is a more premium version of the one that is already available on the company, according to Chapple.
The company has also been experimenting with a slightly higher gloss formula for the upcoming iPhone X and X+ and will likely release this new, more expensive gloss on the phone in the coming weeks.
While this new gloss could be quite expensive, it could be a welcome addition to the iPhone’s lineup, as it could offer more color options, a deeper coverage and more of a matte finish to the lipstick.
The gloss is currently available in a variety of shades, ranging from a deep matte to a lighter, glossy finish, so it’s definitely something you can experiment with.
This is a photo of an Apple-made lip gloss, which we’re guessing will be the premium high gloss that Apple will introduce in the iPhone X.
